Jon Gosselin Praises Girlfriend Colleen Conrad For Bond With His Ex Kate’s Kids

Although Jon Gosselin went through a bitter split with his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, he couldn't be more ecstatic and grateful for the relationship he has formed with his current girlfriend, Colleen Conrad.

Jon and Kate split in 2009, and at the time, the former couple shared physical custody of their eight children, twins Madelyn and Cara, and sextuplets Collin, Hannah, Leah, Aaden, Joel, and Alexis.

However, the 43-year-old currently has custody of Collin and Hannah, who have a strained relationship with their mother. 

On Wednesday, Jon shared a heartfelt Instagram post in honor of Conrad's birthday. "Happy Birthday to my best friend, lover, and companion!!! I couldn't have made it this far without you. I appreciate everything you have done for me and my kids!!! Love you to death!!!" Jon wrote in the caption.

This isn't the first time that Conrad has won praise from someone in the Gosselin family. In May, Collin shared a lengthy Instagram post detailing the bond he has formed with his father's girlfriend.

Collin gave the world a glimpse of their relationship by dedicating a special Instagram post to her on Mother's Day. "Turns out today is Mother's Day, today we pay love forward to our mothers, but I don't think mother can describe all the things Colleen has done for me," he wrote.

"Yes a mother clothes her children and cooks for them, but it's the best feeling when your mother or mother figure is one of your best friends and always has your back, the one who always shares that laugh of the humor only you guys get."

Collin went on to reveal that his relationship with Conrad was much deeper than simply that of a parent and a child. "I could call it Mother's Day, but it's more than that, Colleen, you are so much more than a mother to me, you are one of my guidelines and one of my guiding lights," he stated.

"Thank you doesn't say enough, I love you so much, and you've done so much for me that claims you my strong, happy, loving, and awesome mother figure, you're irreplaceable. Thank you so much, Colleen, love you so much!!!"

Jon was awarded temporary sole physical and sole legal custody of Collin in December 2018, after Kate failed to show for a scheduled court hearing. Since then, Jon has had a strained relationship with his six other children who live with Kate.
